Security & Defense II
This symposium will examine trends shaping next‑generation defence photonics, including applications of high‑power laser systems, breakthroughs in silicon photonics and microwave photonics that unlock compact, low‑SWaP, and software‑defined architectures; and the emergence of novel optical component technologies that enhance robustness, and system integration. Sessions will highlight new imaging modalities - from polarimetric to event-based that expand situational awareness across all military domains. The programme also addresses the accelerating role of photonics in space, including secure optical networks and related technologies.
